The Quality Improvement Unit [Q.I] of the Health Research Ethics Committee of the hospital [ISTH] has conducted her first quarter auditing which spans from January 1st – June 30th, 2026, on Thursday, the 9th day of July 2026, at the HREC building.
The auditing exercise is a yearly routine which helps keep members of Staff in check, in terms of productive service delivery. It’s also a way to check, applaud, commend, criticize, and make recommendations where necessary.
The Q.I team, which comprises Mr Evans O. Umane & Esther A. Aletor, coordinated the entire auditing exercise as part of their duties and responsibilities in the office. Other Units of the committee include: the Review Unit, the Education/Training Unit and, of course, the HREC Administrator desk.
We appreciate the Chief Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, Prof. Reuben A. Eifediyi, for his continuous support and commitment towards the HREC Staff and pledge our continuous service delivery with his Management team.
We also acknowledge and appreciate the ISTH-HREC Board Chairman Prof. Andrew E. Dongo and his entire Board members for the unique roles they play in making the Committee a standard one.
We also appreciate and thank our HREC Administrator, Dr. Yemihan Ogbetere, for her Doggedness, Wisdom, Mentorship, Style of leadership and positive impacts she has bestowed on the Committee over the years.
