Services & Functions
- General outpatient consultations for NHIS enrollees.
- Inpatient care and management of NHIS enrollees in the wards.
- Acceptance and management of referrals from other health facilities.
- Referral of patients to specialised clinics (medical, surgical, etc.) for further care.
- Basic laboratory investigations for enrolled patients.
- Dispensing NHIS-approved drugs to enrollees at the NHIS-prescribed discount.
- Counselling and orientation of enrollees on NHIS procedures and entitlements.
- Preparation, reconciliation, and submission of NHIS bills to Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs).
- Daily documentation and entry of NHIS statistics and service records.
