In a remarkable coincidence, Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) has welcomed another set of quadruplets 32 years after delivering its first set. This rare occurrence has brought joy to the family and pride to the Hospital. The Quadruplets were delivered to the family of Mr. & Mrs. Blessing Eranga and has since been discharged in a very good condition of health.The hospital medical team played a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery and care of the set of quadruplets.

The Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (DCMAC), (Acute and critical care) DR. Aiwannehi Egheimerio representing the Chief Medical/Chief Executive Director (CMD/CEO) of the Hospital Prof. Reuben Agbons Eifediyi presented gift item and a token sum of #100,000 (One hundred thousand naira) to the mother showcasing the hospital’s care and support to the family.

He congratulated the mother of the quadruplets and further stated that the entire hospital community has received the successful delivery of the children with a great joy after 32 years of recording similar incident.” We are happy as an administration to congratulate her, her family and everyone attached to your family in one way or the other and we are also happy that it was during the tenure of Prof. Reuben Agbons Eifediyi we are receiving this second set of Quadruplets in this hospital after 32 years we received the first set of Quadruplets that’s why the CMD/CEO directed that these gifs item and a token sum of ₦100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) to the mother of set of quadruplets be presented to Mrs. Eranga Blessing.

Present are: The Director, Nursing Services (DNS) Mrs. Agatha Okojie, her team, Doctors and Nurses of Post Natal ward and some members of staff.
