ISTH MANAGEMENT HONOURS RETIRED HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT DEPARTMENT

The Management of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) on Friday held a ceremony in honour of the retired Head of the Internal Audit Department, Fajoju Adeleke, in recognition of his distinguished and dedicated service to the institution.

Speaking at the event which took place in the hospital’s boardroom, the Chief Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of ISTH, Prof. Reuben Eifediyi, praised Adeleke for his professionalism, integrity, commitment, and significant contributions to the growth and development of the hospital throughout his tenure.

Prof. Eifediyi described the retiree as a highly diligent and exemplary officer whose leadership and expertise played a pivotal role in strengthening accountability, transparency, and sound financial management within the institution. He noted that Adeleke’s unwavering dedication to duty and exemplary work ethic would continue to serve as an inspiration to both present and future generations of staff.

The CMD further wished the retiree a rewarding, healthy, and fulfilling retirement, expressing confidence that his extensive experience and expertise would continue to make a positive impact on society beyond his years of active public service.

In his response, Fajoju Adeleke expressed sincere appreciation to the hospital management, colleagues, and staff for their support and cooperation throughout his career. He described his years of service at ISTH as both rewarding and memorable, noting that he was honoured to have contributed to the institution’s progress and achievements.

Adeleke also thanked the management for organising the ceremony in his honour, stating that the gesture reflected the hospital’s strong culture of recognising and celebrating dedicated service and professional excellence.

As part of the ceremony, the management of ISTH presented a refrigerator to Adeleke as a retirement gift in recognition of his outstanding commitment, dedication, and invaluable service to the hospital.

The event was attended by members of the hospital’s management team and staff, who gathered to celebrate Adeleke’s accomplishments and extend their best wishes for a successful and fulfilling retirement.
