In a bid to further strengthen the relationship and collaboration between the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), Irrua, and the Nigeria Police Force, the Management of ISTH, in its usual spirit of magnanimity, recently held a meeting with the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Area Command, Irrua, at the office of the Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee (CMAC).
Speaking during the brief meeting, the CMAC, Dr. Michael Olakule Obagaye, who represented the Chief Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer of the hospital, Prof. Reuben Agbonlahor Eifediyi, expressed the hospital’s profound gratitude to the Nigeria Police Force for their selfless service and unwavering support over the years.
He noted that the hospital deeply values the cordial relationship and partnership it has continued to enjoy with the Force, describing the meeting as a gesture aimed at further consolidating this long-standing friendship, which the hospital does not take for granted.
Responding, the Area Commander, ACP Benafa Benjamin, conveyed the appreciation of the entire Nigeria Police Force to the Management of ISTH for its kind gesture and sustained collaboration. He noted that such support has greatly encouraged the Force to continue performing its duties with greater dedication and efficiency.
The Area Commander particularly commended and appreciated the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Reuben Agbonlahor Eifediyi, for his tireless efforts and exceptional leadership since assuming office, describing him as a pillar of support to the Police Force. He added that the meeting would help further enhance their operational efficiency and strengthen the existing synergy between both institutions.
The highpoint of the meeting was the presentation of a LaserJet MRP printer and two packs of A4 paper to the Nigeria Police Force as a token of appreciation for their dedicated service and partnership.
