The management of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH), Irrua, Edo State, has appointed Mr. Kenneth Aigbokhan as the new Head of the Publicity Unit in the hospital’s Public Relations and Information Department.
The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated July 14, 2026, and signed by the Director of Administration, Mrs. Edna Inegbedion (Esq.), on behalf of the Chief Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer, Prof. Reuben Agbons Eifediyi.
In announcing the appointment, the hospital management expressed appreciation to the immediate past Head of the Unit, Mr. Jeff Uwaifo Aigbokhan, for his dedication and invaluable contributions to the growth of the department during his tenure.
Kenneth Aigbokhan is an experienced public relations and media communications professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. He has garnered extensive experience in public service administration, organisational management, and strategic communication.
Over the years, he has served the hospital in various capacities, including Chairman of Media 2025, Secretary of the Children Christian Party, Secretary of the ISTH End-of-Year Christmas Party Committee, member of the Bishop Matthew Okpebholo Geriatric Care and Research Centre Committee, and member of the ISTH Sports Committee.
Beyond his responsibilities within the hospital, Aigbokhan is the Executive Producer of Sir Kay TV, a media platform focused on storytelling, film production, and public enlightenment. As a filmmaker, scriptwriter, and producer, he has contributed to several Nollywood projects promoting moral values, family life, leadership integrity, and community development.
He is also a member of notable professional bodies, including the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN), the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), and the Nigerian Red Cross Society.
Mr. Aigbokhan, who is also a Knight of St. Christopher, is married with children.
The appointment is expected to further strengthen the hospital’s public relations and information management efforts as ISTH continues to enhance effective communication and public engagement.
