The Management of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) has appointed Mr. Nadiakhe Tunde Kolade as the new Head of the Internal Audit Department of the hospital.

This appointment follows the successful retirement of the former Head of Department, Dr. Fajoju Adeleke, from the services of Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in February 2026.

Mr. Kolade, who hails from Ekiti State, Nigeria, was born on October 22. He joined the services of ISTH on April 10, 2007, as an Accountant II in the Internal Audit Department, where he rose through the ranks to the position of Assistant Director, Internal Audit in 2023.

He obtained a Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. Hons) in Accounting from the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State, during the 1996/97 academic session. He is a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), which he joined in 2019, and is also a member of the Skomit Club of the University of Benin.

Over the years, Mr. Kolade has served the hospital in various capacities, including his role in the IPPIS Transitions Committee and other key assignments.

In a letter issued to the Public Relations and Information Department, dated March 25, 2026, and signed by the Director of Administration, Ingebden Edna (ESQ), on behalf of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Reuben Agbons Eifediyi, the appointment was formally communicated.

The Management expressed confidence in Mr. Kolade’s ability to lead the Internal Audit Department effectively, describing his appointment as well-deserved and a mark of honour. He is expected to carry out his responsibilities diligently with a view to contributing to the continued growth and advancement of the hospital.

Mr. Kolade is a devoted Catholic and is married with children.
