Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) marked a significant milestone in its commitment to transparency and accountability with the inauguration of its Anti-Corruption and Transparency Unit (ACTU) on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. The ceremony, chaired by Prof. Reuben Agbons Eifediyi, CMD/CEO of ISTH, was attended by officials from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
The inauguration was a testament to ISTH’s dedication to upholding the highest standards of integrity and good governance. Dr. Clement Imolamen, Chairman of the ISTH chapter of ACTU, expressed gratitude to the management for their trust in the unit to carry out its responsibilities.
Mr. Wale Falola, representing the ICPC Resident Commissioner, delivered a goodwill message and officially inaugurated the ISTH executive. He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in healthcare institutions, highlighting ICPC’s commitment to supporting ISTH in its efforts to combat corruption.



A lecture on anti-corruption and transparency was delivered by Mr. Amojo Olalekan, enlightening attendees on the importance of integrity in healthcare delivery.
In his remarks, Prof. Eifediyi thanked ICPC officials for their presence and shared highlights of his administration’s achievements. He reiterated ISTH’s commitment to transparency and accountability, emphasizing the role of ACTU in promoting good governance.
